Is there a cocktail you really enjoy because your first experience with it was special? For me, the Mai Tai and my first introduction to the Mai Tai was on a Mai Tai cruise in Honolulu Hawai'i. It always has held a special place because drinking the Mai Tai makes me remember that nice Sunset cruise.
Â
Is the Mai Tai the best recipe in the world? Perhaps not, but the mood adds a lot to the experience.

Not cocktail,
Not cocktail, but...

Johnnie Walker Black Label, holding a nice glass in my hand + Maria Callas - La Wally Ebben Ne Andrò Lontrana playing non stop + laying back and watching stars in some empty field with trees and grass, in complete silence (expect for music)... That's just f... awesome and beyond imagination.
Proud to be awesome.
Agreed
Besides the specific music, I've become a huge fan of Jonny Walker Black. I am spying the blue label but it's a bit costly, $198 at the local liquor store...
First time
First time a spirit in Norway has the same price as in the US (Almost!). I thought the exchange rate was 6.5 NOK, but that was back in August, turnes out it's 5.8 NOK. In August a bottle of Jonny Walker Blue Label would have cost 200 USD, now it's up to 225 USD though :-P
You MUST try Walker Green
You MUST try Walker Green Label.

Just bought a bottle myself and can't wait to taste it!
Â
I've read that it's once of the best whiskeys for that price.

Still not convinced? Check http://www.whiskymag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11187
Proud to be awesome.
Pricing
Yeah, that's the NH price list, it may be cheaper as we don't have alcohol tax. See: http://www.nh.gov/liquor/pl01.shtml

We've got our entire inventory online with pricing :)
Not really the *cocktail* itself
Not really the *cocktail* itself, but a simple cuba libre brings up allot of sweet memories from my vacation to Costa Rica. Just smelling it brings back the images of relaxing near the beach, in a reggaebar, palmtrees all around...*dreams away again*.
The cocktail that for me
The cocktail that for me brings back the most memories is the Long Island icetea (is that classified as a cocktail?)Even though it is impossible to get it where i live, because we have very strict rules on how much alcohol can go in one drink, and the Long Island has alot! But me and 2 good friends shared a couple of Long Island ice tea's on a boat cruise some time back. Taking a sip of the Long Island just makes me remember the good times i had with my friends back then. No worries in life, no stress, only a tall glass of Long Island and good friends. What more can a man really ask for? My first drink, however, was a Screwdriver... Not very exciting.

Long Island Ice Tea
Yeah, there are certain bars, especially those portable "hotel bars" for parties, where they are not licensed to mix five alcohols together and can only do one or two. So I usually order a rum and coke instead :)
Whiskey Sour
I must say that I got a huge surprise when I made my first Whiskey Sour about a week ago! I don't know why the drink has become special to me, but it must be because I've always wanted to be able to drink whiskey. I could never stand the "aweful" smell of varnish (especially in Jack Daniel's). These days I drink almost nothing but Whiskey Sours. I've even bought some maraschino cherries to throw in there! Yummy! =)
Yea yeah!
Yeah, I made two "double" whiskey sour's last night, about 8 oz. of whiskey (maker's mark) while my wife and I recorded our gaming podcast last night. Finished them up nice!
