I'd love to know, what's your favorite rum style? Dark, Light, Gold, do you like the ruhm agricole, perhaps those based on pure cane?

Is there one island that you really enjoy rum from?

Rum
I never really was big on rum until one of my buddies had me try Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. Personaly I like to just throw it into some rootbeer and enjoy. 90% of the time if Im drinking my Sailor Jerry and rootbeer youll catch me munching on a rootbeer float popsicle with it.

Sailor Jerry
My next rum purchase is Sailor Jerry's, I've been putting it off far too long.
I am not a big rum drinker
I am not a big rum drinker just yet. I have only tried 2 different types of rum, and that is a Havana Club with gold colour, and the Captain Morgan spiced gold. I did some google searching, and it seems that Havana Club was a "better" rum than Cpt. Morgan in terms of production and flavor, but i like the Cpt. Morgan better, just beacuse i thought the Havana Club had such an overwhelming taste, where i find the Cpt. Morgan to be more mellow and not so strong. This makes me sound like a sissy! I am picking up a bottle of Cruzan, because i have seen it so much on the show. Worst case if i dont like it; Mix it with coke and a dash of lime. Rum and Coke is always a winner at my house!
Favourite.
My Favourite Rum style is CAPTAIN MORGAN SPICED RUM! :) Thats is why I would like to see more spiced rum on the show, even tho that the ones that have been made is awesome.. ;)

When it comes to Vodka i prefer Absolut Vodka, because its Cheap & Tasty at the same time.. Bottle is really nice to.
Personally, gold/dark rum all the way
Personally, gold/dark rum all the way. Mostly because you can use it in your cocktails just fine and it gives the drink a bit more ....complexity then a regular light/blanco.

So far, no particular country/brand that really stands out for me, but besides some major brands im just trying allot of lower end brands i can find in the liquorstore. Usually those are Dutch brands with zero info on the bottle and no website so i can't figure out where the stuff is produced.
No Info?
There isn't any legal standings that require companies to put their information on the label? That's a bit scary!
Well, there is *some*
Well, there is *some* information on the label. But no website, no email, no location from where it's made.
Often just a name, alcohol %, barcode, and sometimes a shop/location combo without further information. And the times that i did find other some company behind the scenes, i got no reaction back on my requests for more details on the brand. Unfortunally.

But this are only the more local brands i guess.
