It's fall again in the United States and we're trying our best to celebrate its coming. Personally, I dislike fall as it brings behind it winter; I'm always sad to see the warm days of summer die off. This year we hope to bring a few more fall and winter cocktails to the show including an upcoming sponsorship with 10 Cane Rum.

 

10 Cane and Common Man Cocktails is working together to bring more exposure to their latest cocktail recipe for the fall season: 10 Cane Spiced Apple Punch. This recipe brings together 51-ounces of apple juice, a 10 Cane "Spice Packet" and a full bottle of 10 Cane rum to build a seasonal punch bowl with tasty flavors. The recipe can be built hot or cold, for the show we'll be doing a cold version of the recipe as it's most economical for the show and for storing it after for Thanksgiving (I can't drink it all!).

 

Do you have access to a bottle of 10 Cane Rum? If so, perhaps I can help! 10 Cane has given me a few of extra spice packets to give away on the show ahead of time. Now, if your local store moves product quickly they may already have a spice packet attached to the top of the bottle of 10 Cane Rum. If they don't, I can send one to you (while supplies last). I've got roughly 20 spice packets in my possession and I'm ready to start giving them away to the first 20 folks that are looking to make their Spiced Apple Punch.

It's the birthday of Common Man Cocktails and, as of the first week of October, we've gone into our "second season" of cocktail episodes. One year ago Jennifer and I had an idea, see if we could produce a cocktail show that would get ourselves and others out of the constant orbiting of the same recipe day in and day out. We had three bar books and continued to create the same old Mai Tai and Margarita. There must have been more, right?

 

There was definitely many more great recipes. Thus far we've created 193 episodes and see no sign of running out of recipes anytime soon. As the show, and her audience grows, so do the great submitted recipes and we're grateful for the community and their interaction. We started with one episode a week and then moved to two and three episodes until we finally bit the bullet and decided we could pull of 5-episodes a week.

 

We might not repeat it often in the shows (as we try to stick to the topic at hand), but having an audience that's constantly growing and interacting with positive comments and great suggestions is motivation enough to continue. For those that take closer looks at the sponsors, we highly appreciate your attention as do the sponsors of the show. To grow our show and expand to new content our sponsors help bring us there with funds to pay for the technology that builds the show you're watching.

 

Sponsors love it when their exposure shows itself in community chatter about the brands and people willing to trust my judgement and purchase the brands I believe change the industry.

Bailey's Irish Cream! No doubt the most used product for the month of October as it brings tastes to hot after dinner drinks as well as fancy presentation to Halloween cocktails.
