I'm really curious about this

I'm really curious about this rum, I like the idea of the added sweetness since I have a huge sweet tooth. I'm going to see if I can track this stuff down.

Yet again another great recipe and I'm looking forward to more holiday related drinks and a few involving peppermint and cinnamon I hope.

"Make" your own 10 cane.

As far as I understand the 10 cane rum is a bit sweeter, but I was wondering if you could take a regular Rum like Bacardi or something else and then add Simple syrup to it - to sweeten it up.?To get a more 10 cane a like Rum?
Anyways it does look tasty, but I am probably not going to do it.. :-)

You can't "make" 10 cane

I don't think there is really a way to make their product without going to the real source. Their product is made with sugar cane not with molasses which gives this a different overall flavor. It's not like asking, can you make potato vodka and corn vodka and distill them down to the same thing...rum isn't distilled as many times.

I guess it would be more like saying "can I make Splenda taste like natural sugar." No, it's not created the same way. Of course, that loses any meaning if you've never had splenda before (it's like "diet sugar")

That isn't to say you can't add simple syrup to a rum but you'll get something more of the mojito sweetness than the 10 cane sweetness.

Ofcourse!

Ofcourse.. I understand, I was just wondering... :-)
Thanks man

Hm, I am wondering on how

Hm, I am wondering on how long should that spice pack stay in the apple juice if you are doing like 4 oz or so?

Proud to be awesome.

I don't know

I'm not sure as the recipe calls for the entire bottle. I don't know if there is an exact measurement for that style of drink. I asked the same question but the folks at 10 cane didn't have a good answer since you're taking a huge recipe measure and bringing it down that much...
