Añejo Tequila Tasting

Please Note: We recently found out our bottle sample of Partida Añejo was bad. After receiving a new bottle, the "sour" taste reported in this video went away and it was smooth as it should have been. Sorry for the mis-communication, bad samples do happen from time to time.
We're topping of this week with a little tasting before the 4th of July. Just incase you're going to be out and about drinking Añejo tequila, here is a few brands you can consider tasting. We're looking at Tres Generaciones, Riazul, Dos Lunas, Cielo and Partida Tequila.
Hopefully, you'll get a chance to try an Añejo tequila sometime soon!

The 'Cognac' like essence is due to the fact we carefully and meticulously age our Anejo 24 months in French Oak Barrels that were used previously to age Coganc and Brandy!

A great finish to the tequila tasting
These three episodes of tequila tasting have been so good, they deserve to be made into a DVD! I really enjoyed watching these and I found them extremely informative. A big thanks for making these Derrick, and i hope you'll do another "tasting" series in the future.

Light Rum
I'd like to do a light rum tasting, or perhaps a little Absinthe tasting if I can get some equipment to show off to get it louched correctly.

All episodes are archived in 1080i HD for a future DVD, no worries :) I just need a bigger audience to justify a huge press of DVD's.

Partida Añejo
I've got a bottle of Partida Añejo coming in, the sample may be bad that I have. So I'm going to do some additional taste testings offline and see what's going on with it.

Viscosity
Personally, I enjoy the viscosity of tequilla. I don't like the "Houdini" tequillas that immediately escape from your palette. I'd rather they hang around and pair up with either a good cigar or a finger food like sliced chorizo. Your voice reminds me of a celebrity, I'm trying to place it. Maybe Ron Howard?Â

The partida silver and reposado, in my opinion, are higher in their class, the Añejo has some stiff competition, especially at the price point.
