Alabama Slammer

The Alabama Slammer, a smooth cocktail with slightly sweet flavors and a tropical feeling. We've never seen palm trees in Alabama but this drink sure makes you think of a white sand beach under a shady palm tree.
We're bringing back the Sloe Gin and some Amaretto in this cocktail; mingling with some southern comfort and orange juice gives you a fine tasting beverage.
Stay tuned, tomorrow we'll revisit this recipe as we compare it to a Dekuyper's Burst Bar Shot bottle under the name "Alabama Slammer" -- does it taste anything like this homemade version? We'll also compare two other bottles of Burst Bar Shots to prior recipes we've completed on the show.

Thanks for doing this drink! Â Here in Wisconsin, there is a bar on one of the main "bar-streets" that serves these and they are pretty much KNOWN for these things. Â When it gets hot outside, the best thing to do is just to go there, slam one or two and then just leave. Â These drinks are so refreshing and they are so delicious. Â I have always had them as cocktails and not as the shots. Â Either way, great recipe! Â I really liked this one! Â Oh and the Golden Glow looks awesome too, possible?!?!?!

Golden Glow
When I go back through the next few weeks of show productions I'll be adding in the suggested recipes (I've got a few new ones) along with some other interesting stuff. Right now we've got the next two weeks of shows lined up already, I'll be building out the rest of the schedule soon so I can add these in (i.e. Golden Glow).
Thought Slammas (LOL) were shots
I always thought Slammas (LOL) were shots! You learn something new (on) everyday.

The Alabama slammer can arrive in both "slamming" shooter and taller drink. Slammer version coming today though!
