Suffering Bastard

Bourbon and Gin mingled with lime and ginger ale, a tiki cocktail. This cocktail's name gives you no indication of its ingredients, only the result of drinking the beverage. You'll probably find it a slightly bit sour, but not enough to make a big difference to those that don't care for sour cocktails.

Oil on the Beach

A cocktail suited for its time, Oil on the Beach is inspired by one of the Gulf cleanup workers who wrote to me stating, "it has that orangey-black color that the weathered oil looks like. So, I figured I'd name it, 'Oil on the Beach'." Besides the name, the cocktail has a well balanced flavor with a core-bourbon taste with just enough Jagermeister to add a hint of herbal qualities without over-stating its purpose.

Well rounded, well structured and a balanced taste, what more can you hope for? Perhaps more folks to help clean up the oil on the beach if I had to take a guess.
