A cocktail suited for its time, Oil on the Beach is inspired by one of the Gulf cleanup workers who wrote to me stating, "it has that orangey-black color that the weathered oil looks like. So, I figured I'd name it, 'Oil on the Beach'." Besides the name, the cocktail has a well balanced flavor with a core-bourbon taste with just enough Jagermeister to add a hint of herbal qualities without over-stating its purpose.

Well rounded, well structured and a balanced taste, what more can you hope for? Perhaps more folks to help clean up the oil on the beach if I had to take a guess.

A drink that was well-balanced color to build out a pink looking cocktail. A cachaça cocktail with slightly sweet and mature rum flavors with good texture and smoothness. Not as potent as we thought it would turn out, perhaps because of all the juices designed to create the color.
