Crap on Grass

Sweet shooter! This is a midori packed punch with a creamy coffee infusion. This shooter is supposed to represent "crap on grass" (also known as "shit on grass") with its layered properties but it definitely tastes better. Hopefully the name doesn't turn you off, because the cocktail is a tasty sweet beverage.

Yup, try everything!
As a novice drinker, you've probably had very little different alcohols. I say, try it all. Try it straight up (if just a taste), build a cocktail and see if you can "find" the flavors in it. It's just like food, you should try it all and see what you like and what you dislike.

You may also find you dislike a good deal of spirits right away because of their potency. Make sure to take at least three sips/attempts to get your palate over the shock. Much like eating/drinking a sour juice or whatnot... the first sip "bites" but it gets easier.

Thanks alot! It makes sense to take it bit by bit, since I'm new to this, I usually take it all in one shot so I won't look like a whimp in front everyone. And yea, after drinking a couple of times, and barfing, the taste of it really gets to me, sometimes even the smell of it makes me woozy a little.

I've had everclear like twice, already, and it says its 90percent alchohol, and I've taken it (shooter) with a chaser once. Do you know any recipes that involve everclear?

Im glad you finally posted the shooter. Ive gotta be honest I didnt know that regular Kalua sinks to the bottom since I only had it with especial, but you really did a good job layering the drink.
Anyway I guess it tastes about the same.. :-)

Kahlua Especial
You need the Especial to get the crap on the grass. The reg. Kalua sinks with Midori. Great shooter.

grass on crap
I used some other melon liqueur, and standard kahlua (not the especial). kahlua went straight to the bottom.
crap make for a good fertilizer, or so they say. grass on crap was pretty tasty too, but I'm still not fan of shooters.
drink's name is lame though. It makes every sentence with it inside sound stupid, and I'm pretty sure that almost noone would order this at a bar.

First, the name is awful, I agree. Unfortunately, not much I could do but rename it (which I did a bit). Tastes good though.
If you're not using Midori you may not have the same sugar quantities as a midori and the alcohol may not float as easily (or at all). Same for some other Irish cream variants when layering irish cream on drinks too, they sink or mix.
