Would it be wise to use 1/4

Would it be wise to use 1/4 of fresh cucumber juice instead?

Proud to be awesome.

I would love to try this out

I would love to try this out but I dont have an "official muddler" what would you suggest that I use to get the cucumber juices out?

anything with a flat surface?

I've used all kinds of random things, wood spoons with flat handle tips, rolling pins, etc. Or, see if you can get one online as they're usually pretty cheap and should be light and easy to ship.

Food processor, rolling-pin

Food processor, rolling-pin or pretty much everything else. Maybe try shredder and filter the juices out.

Proud to be awesome.

cut to pieces

you could also cut your cucumber to small pieces. this would help you to get juices flowing while mudling with whatever you have.

promising

this sounds very promising. I like cucumber-based drinks, rum, melon liqueur, lime/lemon and simple syrup.
I think I'll love it :)

Excellent

Definitely give this a try, a nice new and different cocktail.

test drive

I made one yesterday :) very, very nice.
I can't feel any rum though, I wonder if using vodka (which is pretty cheaper) would be reasonable here.

Rum or vodka

I think the rum really complements the cucumber in this drink. The taste of rum blend in with the cucumber/midori and that may be why you don't taste it. I would think using vodka would take away some of the flavours. Tell us how it goes if you decide to try it out with vodka :-)

rum or vodka

Yeah, most "mixologists" aren't big fans of rum because it brings nothing to the drink. But, experimentation is key!

I had found a recipe for

I had found a recipe for homemade sweet and sour mix.  I think it's 2 parts each of water and sugar for every 1 part each of lemon and lime juice.  The recipe I saw calls for 3 cups of water and sugar and 2 cups of lemon and lime juice, but I think really it comes down to how often are you gonna use it.

Homemade sweet & sour mix

The sweet & sour mix called for in this recipe is as follows:
1 part suggar
1 part water
1 part lime juice
1 part lemon juice

Enjoy =)
