Honolulu Lulu - The Remake

Visit AwesomeDrinks.com for glassware and more!

This is the re-creation of the Honolulu Lulu recipe. While the last rendition was fun and exciting it was missing one of the key ingredients: kahlua. Removing all distractions, we're trying it again and focusing on the ingredients to get it right this time.

In all fairness, we're using Cruzan this time instead of Don Q, both rums are great so use what you have (or another brand, perhaps Bacardi). It still tastes like coffee but the recipe does have a bit more balanced flavores towards the coffee and less towards the pineapple.

looks alot better

That drinks looks alot better but thats because kaluha makes everything good.it reminds me of a "mayan"

also iv read that plastic ruins the taste of simple syrup.

Rum tasting?

Are we ever going to get one? One was mentioned awhile back, I believe.

Rum Tasting, Thursday, Friday and Tuesday

Good question! The first is Thursday than Friday and the final competition is going to be on Tuesday. We've recorded the first two and they're in post-processing now for this week. I think they're going to be awesome, I've got a guest this week...okay, not a guest, but a wife. :) Jennifer will be joining in for this tasting.

This will be a "beta test" for the new spin-off show we're going to be working towards. It's a blind rum tasting with a few brands throughout the three days in a "battle of the rums" with one ultimate winner. The contestents include: Flor de Caña, Bacardi, Don Q Cristal, 10 Cane, Cruzan, Brave Spirits and Tommy Bahama. Any predictions on a winner?

Prediction

10 Cane!

HL 2.0

drink surely got better, as anything with kahlua gets better - even if episode was not as fun as previous ;)
