Fresh Juices

Does anyone else use fresh orange juice for their cocktails?

I was thinking to do that, but... When you buy packs, they always taste the same. While fresh oranges can sometimes be very sweet, sometimes more sour, etc... Which makes cocktail to taste different (in a good or bad way) every time you make one.

Proud to be awesome.

Fresh OJ

For me, fresh orange juice has a certain thickness that you don't get from store-bought brands. I have a juicer (well, had a juicer) that I used to make orange juice before and it was the best I've had. It was thick, flavorful, sweet and delicious. However, it also took like three oranges to make a full glass and my kids wanted some too. So, for a handful of glasses I went through a ton of oranges.

True though, some oranges taste different at some times, during different seasons, etc. Some stores probably have them in warehouses for weeks before they hit the floor where you can buy them. Othe

rs probably longer, so you never know what you're going to get.

You can sub regular store bought juice if you'd like. But, in the end, I still love a freshly squeezed OJ. :-)

Thanks

I guess trying to balance them a bit with simple syrup is the best way to go ,to always have similar sweetness juices.

Proud to be awesome.
