Pomegranate Açaí Lemonade

Visit AwesomeDrinks.com for glassware and more!

This is a wonderful backyard relaxation beverage, one of the best drinks I believe I've had the opportunity to create on the show. The Pomegranate Açaí Lemonade is a simple creation that brings a lot of nice fresh flavors and new experiences with the açaí juices.

For those that haven't tried VeeV Açaí Spirit, I urge you to seek this out and create this recipe to truly expand your cocktail drinking palate. Aside from the Mojito and Margarita, this is the cocktail I've found myself making the most at home. Another added feature, utilizing sugar free or "light" lemonade (under 5g of sugar) will yield a cocktail of 100 calories a serving. I cannot recommend this enough.

VeeV

Ok, so I am going to answer my own question, (About where I could buy VeeV).  On your recommendation, tried the VeeV at the Gansevoort- they have a ginger acai lemonade that is amazing.  I did some research on the internet and found the VeeV website, which has a link for locations in NY and other major cities.    go to www.veevlife.com

no veev over here

at least you can get it :) no veev at all in my country

That blows!

Probably can't ship alcohol internationally either eh? :)

international shipping

Actually I'm not sure what are the regulations regarding buying alcohol abroad. Will check it, but I'm afraid that shipping costs would make it unreasonable for me to do it anyway

Buying VeeV

Yes, you want to run out and buy this stuff now, you can probably oder it on the internet if need be, there has to be a few stores that have it in stock. Glad you went out and tried it, on my recommendation even! You're gonna love it, buy two bottles so you have a second after you get over your initial honeymoon period :)

VeeV

Wow, this drink is amazing.  LOVE the VeeV.  Where can I get it?

wow

that was a unexpected question even in mexico limonada which lemonade i guess because its close to the U.S. speaking of mexico i wanted to ask you for a while now if u have had some of ur favorite tequilas actually brought from mexico the difference its in spanish if not that the 38% u know its from mexico the tequilas over other are more tasty and if u have i will think u would agry maybe 2% makes a lot of difference less of the alcohol and more taste

Mexico's Tequila

No, I don't have any specific mexcian tequila but, I think the closest thing would be Riazul as they're tequila is as close to perfection and detail as I've seen. Partida also is another one that shows great heritage.

What exactly lemonade in US

What exactly lemonade in US is?

As here what we call lemonade is just a corbanated, sweet drink: sprite, coca cola, etc.

Lemonade

This is by far the strangest question I've got from a person outside the US in any of my podcasts and vidcasts :) I guess it's something I take for granted sometimes. It's really sugar, lemon juice and water - I don't know if there is an exact "recipe for it, but wikipedia says something like:

"This is the classic type of lemonade. It is made with lemon juice, water, and sugar. There are countless recipes and most people prepare it to their specific tastes. Sometimes slices of lemon are added, especially if it is being prepared for guests or dinner parties. Despite the name, it is often prepared with reconstituted lemon juice commonly available in supermarkets."

Granted, that's more of a "freshed squeezed" definition, but you get the idea..

Haha, I believe we call it

Haha, I believe we call it like that because in early days we had like 1 flavor drink only (lemon taste) which we called lemonade... Anyway, so it's juice lemon drink :-)

lemonade + pom wonderful

just to add to the discussion - in poland "lemonade" is generally a citrus based beverage, carbonated or not :)

POM Wonderful -  is it just a 100% pomegranate juice or some kind of a beverage?

POM Wonderful

Yes, POM Wonderful is 100% Pomegranate Juice. You can use any you wish, but I'd suggest 100% Juice to avoid getting something fakey fake.

100%

if a recipe calls for juices, I use 100% juices only. it's just that I didn't know what POM W. exactly is.
Treat it as another lemonade-type of question ;)

lol, but!

Yeah, but POM Wonderful is more of a brand, not all brands are US-wide "known." I can see people not knowing about the POM Wonderful brand. :)
