Sour Witch

The third halloween cocktail for 2009, we're getting closer to the day so let's really start cranking through some sillyness. This time we're creating the Sour Witch, another Jonathan Pogash recipe using Lucid Absinthe and sour cherries. We opened a bottle of sparkling wine earlier in the week so we're using it with this cocktail as well.

I buy the little bottles
I keep a few of the tiny bottles of champagne in the 'fridge for my husband. His favorite cocktail is a French Kiss. Sure, they cost more - but so does thowing away 1/2 a big bottle of the bubbly because we never got around to finishing it.

Honestly, I am always hesitant when a music/tv star comes out with their own brand of anything....let alone something you have to consume :)

901 isn't bad
So far, 901 Tequila (Justin Timberlake) has been a good quality spirit and I've yet to taste Crystal Head Vodka (Dan Aykroyd) but I hear it's pretty good... then again, it's vodka... it's not like they went for a complicated spirit.

I saw a bottle of it being marketed on the end-cap at the liquor store but I didn't buy it as it was a bit expensive (for vodka). I don't like to spend too much money on a non-flavored vodka when I know I can get Tito's for a lot less and get that same quality.

IÂ woudn't say I hate them, but I agree. I just can't finish a botle of champaign by myself. I should buy some small botles of the stuff :)
