We're ringing in the 4th of July wiht a cocktail recipe with creative tastes and flavors. While it might be a challenge to build, most of the ingredients are attainable by mortal man. You'll find the cocktail has a lot of black fruit tastes with a hint of ginger to complete the experience. The raspberry liqueur really adds a great flavorful experience as well.

Canada Day?
My calander didn't have Canada day on it. I can tell you when the moon waxes and wanes but not the holiday schedule of Canada. It seems that was today... um, Stars and Stripes also doubles for Canada day! You've got ice in Canada an we've got ice in this drink -- perfect match!

Don't forget that the sugar on absinthe is optional! I'm trying to be a purist here!
And yet another spirit that's only available in the US at the moment (thinks of tito's, cavalino, runs to the jägermeister in tears).

Don't cry, you've got your jägermeister! And absinthe! yeah, I'll have to try the purist method this week, no sugar in my absinthe. Probably better on calories anyway.
